In September 2009, International Business was first introduced as a specialized track of the undergraduate program of Business Administration. with the key feature that all core courses in this program are taught in English. In March 2018, after almost ten years of exploration and development, the International Business track was separated from the Business Administration program and turned into an independent undergraduate program. At present, the International Business program has become one of the signature programs of IBS, emphasizing the cultivation of “cross-cultural, multilingual and international” business elites.

Students majoring in International Business can choose to pursue a minor in another specialty starting in their second year.

In order to fulfill the degree requirements and graduate, students must complete a total of 143 credits (2404 teaching hours), along with 12 credits of practical courses, over a period of four years.

1. General Compulsory Courses: Fundamental Principles of Marxism, Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Outline of Modern and Contemporary History of China, Ethics and Morality Cultivation & Fundamentals of Law, Current Affairs and Policies, The Xi’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, College English, Physical Education, Military Theories, Labor Education, National Security Education, History of the Communist Party of China (Elective), History of Socialist Development (Elective).

2. General Education Courses: (1) History, philosophy and comparative civilization; (2) Literature, art and cultural studies; (3) Social sciences and regional studies; (4) Language, translation and intercultural communication; (5) Science and technology, artificial intelligence and social development; (6) Psychology, life education and physical and mental health; (7) Research methods and speculative innovation; (8) International general courses.

3. Major Compulsory Courses: Advanced Mathematics I II, Linear Algebra, Probability and Mathematical Statistics, Statistics, Computer and the Internet, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Accounting, Management, Corporate Financial Management, Marketing, International Business Negotiation, Organizational Behavior, International Marketing and Simulation, Global Human Resource Management, Intercultural Business Communication and Management, Strategic Management.

4. Major Elective Courses (choose from 40 courses listed below): Contemporary Economics and Management: Theory and Practice, Introduction and Application of Programming Language (Python), Artificial Intelligence and Business, Research Methodology, Economic Law, Business Ethics, Internet Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Professional Development and Workplace Analysis, Corporate Governance, Operations Management and Supply Chain, etc.

5. Practical Courses: Military Training (Practice), Social Practice and Field Study, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Course, Graduation Internship, Dissertation.
