YEAR 2021 

December, the Jingxing Scholarship Donation Ceremony for the Class of 2006 of International Business School was held in Room 306 at No. 2 Domestic Building.

November, International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University was awarded Four-Star Certification of the QS Stars Business School by the globally recognized certification organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

September, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Beijing Foreign Studies University and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of International Business School, the 20th anniversary ceremony of the establishment of International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University and the 20th Anniversary of the International Business School were held in the Thousand People Auditorium on the East campus.

May, the undergraduate and graduate party branches of the International Business School were awarded the "Red Flag Party Branch" title for thirteen and three consecutive years respectively.

March, International Business School's International Economics and Trade and Accounting majors were approved as National First-Class Undergraduate Programs, and Finance, Information Management and Information Systems, and Business Administration were approved as Beijing First-Class Undergraduate Programs.

March, Discipline Building Committee of International Business School was established and the first plenary meeting was held.

YEAR 2020

May, the undergraduate and graduate party branches of the International Business School were awarded the "Red Flag Party Branch" title for twelve and two consecutive years respectively.

February, the First Self-Assessment Report (iSER Report) accredited by the AACSB was approved by the Accreditation Committee.

YEAR 2019

December, International Business School co-hosted the 11th International Symposium on Behavioral Operations and Management with other institutions.

November, the G20 Research Center was selected as a source think tank in the China Think Tank Index (CTTI).

November, Wang Hui's thesis, "The Impact of the Belt and Road Initiative on China's Cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions in Countries Along the Route: An Empirical Study Based on the Double Difference Method," won the second prize, while Yue Min's thesis, "An Empirical Study on the Relationship between Studying in China and China's Direct Investment in Countries Along the Belt and Road," was nominated for an award.

October, International Business School hosted the Fourth China-Central and Eastern European Business Schools Summit and the Belt and Road International Business School Talent Development Forum. 

May, a new master's program in Business Administration (MBA) was established, with the first students set to enroll in September 2020.

May, International Business School held the 2019 China, Japan and Korea Regional Cooperation and Development Forum.

May, the undergraduate and graduate student groups from  International Business School jointly received the honor of "Red Flag Youth League Committee" from Beijing Foreign Studies University, with the undergraduate team receiving the title for the eleventh consecutive year.

May, the 4th Finance Class of 2017 and the Academic Master's Class of 2018 from International Business School won the title of "Top 10 Class Collectives" at Beijing Foreign Studies University.

May, Europe Business Confucius Institute, the first Confucius Institute hosted by International Business School, was established at the European Higher Business School in Paris.

April, Long Teng, a master's student from International Business School, was awarded the 10th Beijing Foreign Studies University Youth May Fourth Medal.

April, students from International Business School won the first place in the team competition at the 14th Foreign Language Society Cup Sports Meeting at Beijing Foreign Studies University, securing their fourteenth consecutive victory.

April, International Business School held the fourth Alumni Council meeting and Spring Forum.

March, International Business School hosted the 2019 Pearl River Education Internationalization Forum.

January, International Business School participated in the "Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Shenzhen Forum."

January, the undergraduate representative team from the International Business School won the Best Performance Award at the CFA Association's Global Investment Analysis Competition North China Division Finals.

From January to December, International Business School signed strategic cooperation agreements with companies such as Beijing Zhongrui Yuehua Taxation Services.

YEAR 2018

December, International Business School led the establishment of the New Business Education and Internationalization Alliance for Higher Education Institutions.

November, International Business School hosted the Belt and Road and Disciplinary Construction Seminar in Dalian.

November, International Business School held the Fourth International Business and Finance Autumn Forum and the Professional Postgraduate Business Mentors Appointment Ceremony.

November, the G20 Research Center of International Business School received a donation of 1 million yuan from Beijing Foreign Studies University for its development. 

November, Professor Peng Long from International Business School was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the 2018-2022 Education Ministry's Teaching Guidance Committee for Economics and Trade.

November, the Finance Master's program from International Business School was ranked in the top 20% of all nationally certified degree programs in 2018.

November, International Business School held the 2018 China, Japan, and Korea Regional Cooperation and Development Forum and the 15th Northeast Asia Economic Cooperation Forum.

October, International Business School co-hosted the 15th Beijing Internet Conference in 2018.

September, the undergraduate courses in Accounting, International Financial Management, and the Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) program from International Business School were accredited by CPA Australia.

September, the first cohort of undergraduate students in Financial Management and International Business enrolled at the International Business School.

June, International Business School held the Beijing International Microeconomics Seminar on Empirical, Experimental, and Theoretical Topics.

June, the class from International Business School was named the "Top 10 Collective" and the "Excellent Collective" at Beijing Foreign Studies University in 2018.

May, International Business School received a donation of two million yuan from the Huajun Education Foundation.

April, students from International Business School won the 13th Beijing Foreign Studies University "Foreign Language Society" Cup Sports Meeting for the 13th consecutive year, and won the "BFSU Cup" Football Competition for the fourth consecutive year, as well as the championship of the Ping-pong Competition and Swimming Competition.

April, International Business School held the Second Evaluation Methods and Applications Sub-conference Annual Meeting.

March, two new doctoral programs were added:Management Science and Engineering (Doctoral Degree Authorization of First-Level Discipline). 

March, three new master's degree programs were introduced, including Applied Economics (Academic Master's Degree of First-Level Discipline), Business Administration (Academic Master's Degree of First-Level Discipline), and MPAcc (Master of Professional Accounting). The first intake of students for these three programs will begin in September 2019. 

March, Finance Management and International Business were introduced as new undergraduate programs.

From January to December, International Business School has signed strategic cooperation agreements with various enterprises, such as CMB Beijing Branch, Zhaopin, PwC Jie Xin, Hudong Baike, EY Hua Ming Accounting Firm, Beijing Kalading Automotive Technology Service Co., Ltd., Hejian International Engineering Co., Ltd., and Beijing E-Car Network Technology Co., Ltd.

YEAR 2017

December, International Business School attended the Northeast Asia Business and Economics International Academic Conference and gave a keynote speech.

November, International Business School hosted the 2017 Autumn Academic Forum and Professional Master's Enterprise Tutor Appointment Ceremony.

September, International Business School received a 2 million RMB donation from Dongda Resource Fund.

July, International Business School received a 1 million RMB donation from the Cai Weibin Education Fund at Beijing Foreign Studies University.

June, the "Silk Road Business School Alliance", led by International Business School, officially established.

June, International Business School hosted the 3rd Alumni Council Meeting and IBS Memorial Brick Award Ceremony.

May, the class of International Business School received the "Top 10 Class Collective" award from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 2017.

May, International Business School co-created the "Belt and Road Initiative+" Beijing Studio with Guangzhou Broadcasting Television Station.

May, International Business School won an award in the Mainland selection of the 4th Cross-Strait Accounting and Business Management Case Competition for College Students.

April, Li Qian and Li Sifei from International Business School won first prize and third prize respectively in the 3rd Beijing Foreign Studies University Young Teachers' Teaching Basic Skills Competition.

April, International Business School won the 1st place in the team event at the 12th "Foreign Language Teaching & Research Press Cup" Sports Games, achieving a "Twelve Consecutive Championship". International Business School men's football team won the championship of the "Beiwai Cup" Football Match.

April, International Business School hosted an AACSB certification AOL stage training seminar.

January, International Business School was awarded the "Advanced Collective for Moral Education" honor for 2016 at Beijing Foreign Studies University. 

In 2017, the International Business School academic journal "Regional and Global Development" was founded with regional and global development issues as the main theme. The aim was to introduce the latest achievements and theoretical frontiers in the field of regional and global development research to domestic and international academic circles, and to promote research on regional and national issues under the perspective of global development. The journal strives to become an important platform for academic exchanges, discussions and innovations in this field, and to provide intellectual support for China's participation in global development.

YEAR 2016

November, the International Business School debate team won first place in the 8th Globalization and Youth Responsibility Chinese Debate Competition

November, AACSB accreditation committee tutor and dean of the Management School of I-Shou University in Taiwan, Professor Peng Taiguang, conducted training on the AACSB certification AOL stage for the faculty of the International Business School

August, International Business School passed the qualification review of the IAC(Initial Accreditation Committee)of  AACSB, marking the official entry of the International Business School into the AACSB accreditation application process

July, International Business School held the first "Globalization, Energy and Sustainable Development Summer Course" and invited renowned scholars such as Manuel Pinho, the former Portuguese government minister of economy and innovation and Columbia University, as course lecturers

May, International Business School's student union won the first place in the annual Beijing Foreign Studies University student union conference for the eighth consecutive year

May, International Business School and the Education Foundation jointly held the International Business School Building Memorial Brick Launching Ceremony, attended by President Peng Long and nearly 80 International Business School alumni

April, International Business School defended its championship title at the Beiwai Cup Football Tournament

April, International Business School won first place in the Beijing Foreign Studies University 11th Foreign Language Teaching Press Cup for the eleventh consecutive year

YEAR 2015

December, International Business School graduate student representative team won the Best Performance Award in the Beijing Division of the CFA Association Global Investment Analysis Competition.

November, International Business School's Transnational Economic Management Talent Training Experimental Teaching Center was approved as a "National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center".

September, International Business School held its first enrollment for Financial and International Business master's degree students, and also held an industry mentor appointment ceremony.

In September 2015,IBS set up a new PhD degree of secondary discipline “ international commerce and regional governance”.

In July 2015, the international center for internet research was set up.

In June 2015, IBS established cooperation with the University of Barcelona in Spain and European management school of France

In June 2015, IBS participated in the founding of “BFSU-Ningbo maritime Silk Road Research Center”.

In April 2015, IBS established the center for innovation and entrepreneurship.

In September 2014, we added two master programs of international commerce and finance.

YEAR 2013

In September 2013, we added new major “international economy and trade”featuring overseas cooperation.

In 2013, IBS signed the cooperation agreement with the investment promotion bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, aiming to promote the economic and investment exchanges between China and the world, and to deepen our cooperation in policy guidance of overseas investment and the areas of overseas investment.

YEAR 2012

In 2012, IBS established cooperation with many foreign institutes and universities including University of Malaya, Southern College of Malaysia, Munich Business School, Dortmund International Institute of Management,

In 2012, Niu Huayong was appointed Dean of IBS, and Liu Peng the party branch secretary.

In 2012, The G20 Research Center of IBS acquired an annual funding of 1million RMB for three consecutive years from the international department of the Financial Ministry.

In 2012, BFSU experimental training center for transnational economic management personnel was rated by the Ministry of Education as the national experimental teaching demonstration center.

In 2012, Mr.Shu Longsheng, CEO of the Xin Long electrical coporation in Anhui donated 1 million RMB to BFSU as the Shu Longsheng fund for economic research, which aims to uphold the development of IBS.

In 2012, the first graduate students of management science and engineering were enrolled into IBS.

In 2012, the first overseas graduate students of IBS were graduated.

YEAR 2011

In 2011, The celebration of IBS’s 10th anniversary was held in the third lecture theatre in YiFu teaching building in BFSU.

In 2011, Zhong Chen Investment Group Ltd. donated 10 million RMB to BFSU, and set up the Zhong Chen Fund for economic management disciplines, which aims to support the development of IBS.

In 2011, Mr. Liang Zhiming, the managing director of Guang Dong Zhiyi Investment Corporation Ltd. Donated 1 million RMB to BFSU as a fund for financial and economic research.

In 2011, IBS signed the “SF CLUB” cooperation agreement with Shun Feng Express Coporation Ltd. to set SF scholarship for overseas students.

YEAR 2001~2010

In 2010, The BFSU-SolBridge program was established, enrolling over 30 full-time undergraduate students from 17 countries around the world. This is the first time to enroll non-Chinese major foreign students for BFSU.

In 2010, IBS established cooperation with foreign institutes and universities including the University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Virginia, University of San Francisco, Lancaster University in Britain, Edith Cowan University in Australia, Vietnam National University, Vietnam University of economics and trade, Khon Kaen University in Thailand, North-West University in South Africa, Plekhanov Economic University in Russia.

In 2010, The master degree program of management science and engineering as a primary discipline in IBS was approved.

In 2010, IBS established the Executive Development Program Center, focusing on advanced management training.

In 2009, IBS started the English-teaching program of business management ( international commerce in particular).

In 2009, IBS established partnership with Woosong University in South Korea, worked together to set up the BFSU-Solbridge program to enroll overseas students from around the world and open English-teaching courses on business administration.

In 2009, the reform of the training model for transnational economic management personnel in IBS was graded the first prize for teaching achievement in Beijing.

In 2008, IBS built up ties with more foreign universities including the University of Queensland in Australia, Kent University and Ashridge Business School in England.

In 2007, IBS started to enroll graduate students of diplomacy in the department of international economics.

In 2007, The experimental teaching center for economic management disciplines in IBS was graded the demonstration teaching center in Beijing.

In 2007, IBS was dubbed “the experimental training zone for transnational economic management personnel” in the “quality teaching program” of higher institutes carried out by the Ministry of Education and Finance.

In 2004, IBS started to enroll undergraduate students of accounting.

In 2002, accredited by relevant department in England, IBS opened up courses of MBA in China and began to work together with University of Staffordshire to train overseas students from Europe.

In 2002, the discipline cluster of economic management in IBS was graded key disciplines supported by the National Project 211.

In 2002, IBS started to enroll undergraduate students majoring in finance, business administration, e-commerce, information management and information system.

In 2001, IBS was officially established and Professor Peng long was appointed dean of IBS.

In 1999, BFSU started to enroll undergraduate students of international economics and trade.

In 1994, BFSU set up pilots to enroll undergraduate students of economics and trade, commerce and information.
