2014 Work Summary of the Labor Union

All members from the Labor Union of International Business School continue to uphold the principle of serving the entire teaching and administration staff, and actively broaden work content on the basis of previous activities. Through various cultural and sports activities, we aim to improve physical fitness and spiritual level of the entire staff, striving to create a harmonious working atmosphere. Specifically, activities carried out this year are as follows:

In April 2014, we organized a Spring Outing (in The Badaling Wildlife Park), which has greatly strengthened collective cohesion. Families of two foreign teachers also participated in this event.

In May 2014, we followed arrangements from the school labor union, mobilized all staff's collective sense of honor, took an active part in the school sports meeting, and eventually won the High Morality Prize.

In June 2014, this semester, we organized a themed lunch to exchange childcare experience. We invited three teachers, Gao Cuilan, Mao Erwan and Yang Jicheng to share their valuable experience in childcare.

In July 2014, we proposed that each member inform all union staff of his or her birthday in advance. Thus, he or she will receive blessings form the union on his or her birthday. At the end of the semester, members who have celebrated their birthday in the first half of the year will get nice gifts from the union in the general meeting.

In September 2014, we organized a special event with the theme of women, aiming to provide a platform and opportunity for women to express their inside feelings and exchange experiences. In October 2014, we organized an Autumn Outing in Landiao Manor. In the pleasant natural environment, all the staff relaxed themselves and shared experiences. The activity greatly enhanced their working enthusiasm.

In November 2014, we organized a rock climbing activity in Baihe Climbing Venue so as to build up collective cohesion.

In December 2014, we participated in Staff Home Construction Activity of Beijing Foreign Studies University, and obtained the title of “Family of the Staff” and got the prize money of 2,000 yuan. The same month, we organized the 2015 Spring Festival tea party to provide an opportunity for the entire staff to exchange ideas, speak up their voices and paint a bright future.

Support from the entire staff underlay the success of this activity. In the fall semester of 2015, backed by all the faculty members, the Union will continue to explore new working methods, improve innovative abilities, and strive to chart a new course for our work.
