AACSB Accreditation Pre-Visit for International Business School of BFSU Successfully Held

From 8th March to 9th March, 2023, Professor Viput Ongsakul, PRT Chair of AACSB，Dean of National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) of Thailand, visited the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University and conducted a two-day AACSB onsite Pre-Visit, during which quality guidance was provided to our school regarding the Accreditation process.    

LI Chunli, Secretary of the General Party Branch of IBS; NIU Huayong, Dean of IBS; SONG Zening, Deputy Dean; SHAO Mingxing, Deputy Dean; FAN Jing, Director of the Department of Management Science; LI Wenbin, School Council Member and Director of Student Affairs Office; and all members of the International Accreditation Office presented the pre-visit. The whole event and the two seminars were hosted by MA Qin, Director of International Accreditation Office.

On the afternoon of 8th March, Dean NIU Huayong, Deputy Dean SONG Zening and Director of International Accreditation Office MA Qin accompanied Prof. Ongsakul to visit the campus and the venues.

On the afternoon of 8th March and the morning of 9th March, two seminars were held in Meeting Room 409. Prof. Ongsakul recognized and credited the AACSB accreditation work of the school and raised questions accordingly regarding the Self Evaluation Report submitted by IBS. 

Afterwards, he offered quality instructions on the improvements of IBS's Mission forming, Strategic Planning, Faculty Classification, AOL Assessment, Student Development and other aspects. After the seminar, Prof. Ongsakul kindly provided feedback on the pre-visit.

This pre-visit further clarified the direction of IBS’s AACSB Accreditation process and the potential for improvement, which is an important guidance for the school to continuously keep up to AACSB standards and get prepared for the upcoming official on-site PRT visit.
