On December 12th, 14:00, the 14th Leadership Forum of the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University was held at Room 317 of the International Building. Niu Huayong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Dean of IBS, Hua Lei, Secretary of the undergraduate General Youth Branch, Zhang Ying, and undergraduate counselor, Zhang Yuling , a 2006 alumnus, Shakeerjiang, a 2011 alumnus, and students from twelve universities and colleges including China University of Political Science and Law, Beijing Normal University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and China University of Geosciences (Beijing) participated in this forum. This forum is hosted by the Student Union of the undergraduate General Youth Branch of IBS.
First, Dean Niu Huayong delivered an opening speech. Dean Niu Huayong pointed out to the students that the current economic and social situation is constantly changing and encouraged the students to find a unique path of their own in the era of "involution". At the same time, he pointed out that, as energetic undergraduates, the leadership of the students should come from the courage to "toss" and the correct judgment of the general trend of the times. He encouraged the students who participated in the meeting to show perseverance facing the difficulties and strive to gain recognition from many parties.
This forum revolved around "the reform of the student union in the post-epidemic era and the construction of its organizational structure". The backbone of each school participating in the forum gave a detailed introduction to the organizational structure, working operation system and the student union of the school, and shared the reform results and the experience of holding excellent and characteristic activities. During the discussion, the students not only learned from each other’s advanced reform methods, but also sincerely identified problems and discussed solutions together.
Finally, the forum came to an end with the wonderful comments and experience sharing from alumni.
This forum is aimed to share reform results and exchange experience in activities, and further strengthen the role of the Student Union of the Youth League Branch in serving and leading students. It is hoped that the participating students of various colleges and universities can gain something from this forum, and that the leadership forum will constantly improve, and become a platform for students from various colleges and universities to exchange experiences and help each other.
