At 15:00 hours on the 15th of September 2021, the public-funded medical and health education and AIDS prevention knowledge lecture for all 2021 IBS freshmen of Beijing Foreign Studies University was held at the third lecture room of Yifu Building. The lecture was presented by Dr. Wang Lili, attending physician of the Beijing Foreign Studies University School Hospital, attended by all 2021 IBS freshmen.
Dr. Wang Lili first introduced the functions of the school hospital and the management regulations of the school's public medical care, and introduced next, the relevant knowledge of AIDS: from the perspectives of the global status of AIDS, the speed by which AIDS spreads and the epidemic characteristics in China, etc., so that students could understand what AIDS is, the natural history of HIV infection and common opportunistic infections, the transmission route of AIDS, and how to prevent AIDS.
This lecture provided detailed information of the school hospital medical care and AIDS-related knowledge for the 2021 freshmen. With increasing infections of HIV among students, college students urgently need to strengthen their resolve and understanding of AIDS prevention and treatment availabilities[E1], improve their safety and awareness of self-protection, and at the same time, develop a correct understanding of HIV-infected persons and their families. Put aside your prejudice and do not judge or gossip.[E2]
Value life and prevent the spread of AIDS all the time. Pay attention, never let your guard down and embrace a healthy and happy lifestyle![E3]
