On the 28th of April 2021, the first career experience sharing meeting of the 8th Employment Power Competition of the International Business Scholl was successfully held in Classroom 413 of the International Building. In this meeting, Zhao An, a lawyer at Trade Law Firm and Liu Qi, a manager at Ernst & Young, were invited to share with students, their thoughts on the current status of the law firms and accounting industry, and their work experience. More than 40 undergraduate and graduate students from IBS and the law school attended the meeting.
During the experience sharing session, Zhao An shared his study and internship experience first, then introduced career development paths, salary level, gender distribution etc. for lawyers. Liu Qi shared with students how to find “good jobs” from three aspects including trend, company and job fitness[E3]. He gave suggestions on what students should prepare before job hunting and offered pragmatic job hunting skills and expertise.
The event not only provided students with a better understanding of careers in law and accounting, but also provided insights and useful suggestions, and laid the foundations on how students can better prepare themselves to find suitable and ideal jobs in the future.
