Q: What are the keywords you communicate with your Tibetan friends?
According to the feedback of the volunteers, the content of the letters is rich and colorful, among which the most frequently occurring keywords are "learning troubles", "dream", and "future". "Delicious food" and "hometown" are also the main topics between the volunteers and their Tibetan friends. Some volunteers used "love" and "sincere" to describe the content of the communication.
Q: How do you feel about this round of letter exchanges?

For the first time, I had a letter accompaniment activity with my friends in Lhasa. The biggest feeling, which I had, was the power brought by communication technology and I can truly say that letters can convey emotions more sincerely. In the letter we introduced ourselves, revealed our hearts, shared the bits and pieces of our learning and life, became each other's listeners, and felt the warmth and support in the words. I hope I can continue to help them in future volunteer activities.

This volunteer activity written to Tibetan partners is committed to promoting the volunteer spirit of "dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance, and progress", at the same time, it has promoted the communication and relationship between Beijing Foreign Studies University and Tibet Middle School. I am honored to participate in this activity. I sent my feelings and emotions, and also received greetings from afar.

This time-spanning dialogue was carried out through writing, a very romantic communication method. Presumably, the younger brother wrote the letter with the corners of his mouth raised, because I could feel the warm emotions between the lines of his words. This kind of emotion is bound with the invitation to distant friends to visit his hometown, bound with the expectation of meeting and even hugging. There are many beginnings in the world, and this is one of the best.

I am very happy that my letter has arrived to the hands of Junior Sister Cichengjizong! Not long after the successful communication, I received a WeChat application from her, which was very pleasant. In my letter, I mentioned that I like Medog, Tibet, and hope to go there for a hike one day. She said that the most famous things in Medog are the ground pot chicken, matsutake mushrooms and Lingzhi. I want to go there more and more.
Sun Junjiao, grade 2021 professional master of Accounting
Through the communication with my Tibetan pen pal, watching him share his hobbies and dreams with me, I can feel his hope for the future when he talks about the things he likes, and I am also greatly inspired. When he talked about his troubles in studying, I also seemed to be pulled back to the memories of my life in high school. The communication with them is more like our mutual encouragement, and this kind of meaning has exceeded the original meaning of a simple letter.

During this event, I once again felt the power of handwritten letters. I am thousands of miles away from her, and Tibet is also a land that I have never set foot in. But through the words, I can feel that another side of the letter is a kind, simple and life-loving girl. Writing a letter to her is like chatting with my sister. I also received a small gift from her. I was touched. The girl is really cute. We added WeChat of each other, and I was very happy when I received a reply from her. Thanks to the IBS for this event, I am very lucky to meet this little girl. Hope to keep in touch with her!
Letters are like face-to-face. For a long time back in old days, letters have been the only way of communication for people who were separated from each other. People express their emotions through letters. This volunteer activity is not only conveys the spirit of the Party Central Committee's work symposium on Tibet, but also a sincere expression of friendship by BFSU students in the current era of rapid communication, and an active practice of the new era, new youth, new mission and new responsibility.
