Founded in 2008, the Research Center for Management Science of Beijing Foreign Studies University is a key disciplinary construction program of the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University. At present, the main research areas of the research center include management of the supply chain, management information systems, e-commerce, e-government, decision analysis and upgrading. There are 10 researchers, including 3 professors, 3 associate professors, and 4 lecturers.

The aim of the center is to make full advantage of the excellent academic environment of the International Business School, Beijing Foreign Studies University by focusing on academic basic research of academics and application as well as the development and research of enterprise-initiated programs, It pays close attention to the management of supply chain, management information system, Internet application and management decision-making problems in the field of management science, studies related cutting-edge theoretical issues, explores scientific management technologies and methods, and solves various practical management problems faced by enterprises in their development. Furthermore, we strive to establish both local and international academic exchanges and cooperation and to build an academic institution that opens to the world.

In recent years, 2 professors of the research center have been elected into the New Century Excellent Researcher Program led by the Ministry of Education, and 2 associate professors elected into the Beijing Youth Talents Program. The center has presided and undertaken 8 projects supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project supported by funds for humanities and social science under the Ministry of Education, as well as 5 relevant projects funded by the Beijing government. It has also undertaken a number of industry and enterprise consultation projects. Nearly 100 academic papers have been published in national and international core periodicals and delivered at international academic conferences. Among this, more than 20 research papers are published in SCI and SSCI indexed journals, and over 10 articles in EI indexed journals, along with 3 important academic publications.
