On 13th January, 2022, the International Business School 2022 Winter Olympics Volunteer Mobilization Meeting was held at the Conference Room 706 of the Guonei Building. Li Chunli, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the International Business School, Niu Huayong, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch and Dean, Wang Min, Ren Kangyu, Chen Yin and other department heads, Xu Guoquan and other teachers' representatives and all counselors attended the event. The meeting was presided over by Li Wenbin, organizer of the school party committee and director of the Student Affairs Office.

Li Wenbin first warmly greeted the volunteers of IBS. IBS sent a total of 77 teachers and students to participate in the volunteer service of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympic Games, including 73 student volunteers and 4 teacher volunteers, covering the three competition areas of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. Located at 11 venues including Olympic Family Hotel, Beijing Winter Olympic Village, Yanqing Winter Olympic Village, Beijing (Yanqing) Prize Awarding Plaza, National Gymnasium, Capital Gymnasium, National Aquatics Center, Wukesong Sports Center, Main Media Center, Genting Ski Park and multilingual Service Center. It also covered 5 business areas of NCS, OFS, media operation, sports display and language service.

Teacher volunteer representative Qinchuan and student volunteer representative Huang Hexi made a speech. They expressed their pride in becoming a Winter Olympic volunteer, expressed their sincere gratitude to the schools and colleges for their all-around guarantee and support, and called on all volunteers to stay true to their original aspirations and go all out to actively participate in the Winter Olympics service, showing the image of China as a big country to the world, and showing the good spirit of IBS in Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Li Chunli, Secretary of the General Party Branch, paid tribute to the volunteers of IBS. She said that General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized that the success of the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics is a major event for the party and the country, and it is China's solemn commitment to the international community. Teachers and students of IBS can participate in the service of major national events, especially witnessing the historical moment when Beijing became the world's first "Double Olympic City", with a great responsibility and a glorious mission.
She expressed the hope that the students can show the sunny, enterprising, friendly and dedicated attitude and spirit of contemporary Chinese youth through their work, and show the good quality of BFSU teachers and students. The college has established a security team composed of college leaders, department directors, and counselors. Both the department directors and the teachers will participate in the guidance of the students, providing good service and guarantee for them.

Li Chunli put forward three hopes to the volunteers. The first is to fulfill commitments and complete volunteer work with high standards. The second is to abide by discipline, resolutely obey the work arrangements of the Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and the school, and strictly abide by the epidemic prevention and control measures. The third is to be fully mentally prepared to deal with various difficulties. The college will do its best to ensure the volunteers' study, psychological and life support work, and wait for the volunteers' triumph. Afterward, Li Chunli presented the volunteers with the college's recommended book "Stay in the Game", hoping that the volunteers could continue to draw spiritual strength and forge ahead during the closed-loop management period.

Niu Huayong, deputy secretary of the Party branch and dean, sent a heartfelt message to the volunteers. He reminded the students to take personal protection during the competition, pay attention to adjust their mentality, and be ready to face challenges at any time. He said that during the period when the volunteers were working in the Winter Olympics, the college would always pay attention to everyone's current situation and provide service guarantees for the volunteers. He also wished that volunteers can contribute to spreading the Winter Olympics culture and conveying the voice of China. Afterward, Niu Huayong presented the volunteers with an exclusive gift package carefully prepared by the college. He hoped that the volunteers will do a good job in epidemic prevention and control during the Winter Olympics service, pay attention to strengthening their physique, and the college will always be on their side. In the end, he wished all volunteers a successful completion of the Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics volunteering work.

Afterward, the college conducted a pre-trip training session for the Winter Olympics volunteers, and made key explanations on personal protection, emotional management, and academic balance.

Volunteers of IBS will uphold the school motto of " Inclusive opening, extensive learning, practical doing " on the stage of the Winter Olympics, carry forward the IBS culture of "innovation, focus, cooperation and openness", contribute their youth strength to host a "simple, safe and wonderful" Winter Olympics, and highlight the responsibilities of Chinese youth in the new era!
