On the morning of February 20th, 2023, the International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University (IBS.BFSU) successfully held Meet&Greet, the Welcome Event of Spring Semester of 2023 for international students at the Congress Hall of the Arabic Building. Li Chunli, the Party Secretary of the General Branch; Niu Huayong, the Deputy Party Secretary and Dean of IBS.BFSU; Vice Dean Song Zening and Shao Mingxing; Li Wenbin, the member of the School's Party Committee and Director of Student Affairs Office; Cui Xiaoning, the School Affairs Commissioner; the heads of each department and faculty representatives, as well as more than 200 international students from IBS.BFSU attended the event.

Firstly, Niu Huayong, The Dean, extended New Year's greetings to everyone and warmly welcomed the arrival of both the returning students and new students. He introduced the overall situation, development process, spiritual culture and educational philosophy of IBS.BFSU in detail, and encouraged the students to take the initiative to meet the new challenges of life with an open and inclusive international vision and forge ahead with perseverance to achieve a better self.

Subsequently, Wu Yue, the professor representative, also expressed a warm welcome and blessing to both the returning students and new students. She hoped that students should adhere to the cultivation of independent ability and the awareness of continuous thinking, work hard to study, and participate more in campus activities to balance study and life.

The relevant functional office teachers Dai Chengcheng, Chen Pengyu and Huang Tao carried out detailed interpretation and targeted training on student affairs, teaching affairs, campus media application and other work respectively.
WONG ZHE XUAN, the president of IBSUnion, focused on the IBS associations, cultural and sports activities, and warmly welcomed new students to actively participate in the activities from IBSUnion and join IBSUnion.

VOU MENGKIM, representative of senior student, shared his personal growth experience and memorable moments at BFSU, encouraging new students to take advantage of the university resources and continuously improve themselves. MACKAY LARA JOAN, representative of freshmen, expressed sincere gratitude for the warm care shown by IBS.BFSU and hope to become an outstanding cultural ambassador through the journey of studying at IBS.BFSU.

The event ended with a group photo of all attendees.

The Meet&Greet event for international students not only enhanced their understanding of IBS.BFSU and BFSU, but also promoted communication and relationships among the students and teachers. With the arrival of the new semester, we hope students clarify their goals, strive for excellence, and embrace a colourful campus life.
